FAQ

The questions that come up most. If yours is not here, support will answer it directly.

What happens to my XP when I accept a match?
It moves into an escrow account tied to that specific match. It leaves your spendable balance but is never spent — if the match is cancelled or refunded it comes straight back, in full, to both players.
Do free matches count for ranking?
Yes. Ladder points, win rate, elo and streak are calculated identically whether a match was staked or free. The only difference is whether XP changes hands.
Someone claimed a win they did not earn. What now?
Submit your end-of-match screenshot from the match page. Both stakes stay locked in escrow until a moderator reviews it — there is no timer and no automatic award, so stalling gains nobody anything.
How long do disputes take?
Usually under an hour during peak evening hours, and within 24 hours otherwise. Overdrive members are reviewed first.
Can I play for real money?
Not currently. Whether cash play is legal depends on where you live, and it requires licensing work before it can open. The ladder runs on XP, and XP has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
Why was my gamertag rejected?
A gamertag can only be verified on one Pulze account at a time. If yours is already linked elsewhere, contact support — this is also our main check against players running multiple accounts to farm easier opponents.
What happens if my opponent never shows up?
Either player can cancel a match that has not started. Both stakes are refunded in full and neither player takes a loss on their record.
Does Overdrive give paying players an advantage?
No. The rake cut, the queue position and the entry discount all sit outside the match itself. The 1.5x XP boost applies only to free matches, so it speeds up your grind without letting anyone buy a larger staking balance. Ladder points and elo are never multiplied.
